I’ve been writing jokes for many years and people often ask me how to be funny. There’s no single correct answer but here are some ideas to get you started:
- Be willing to be silly.
- Share your sense of humor with the world without worrying about what people will think.
- Be yourself.
- Assume that your audience is smart and will get your jokes.
- Don’t be afraid to talk about what you find funny.
- Find your own style of being funny.
- Realize that different people have different ideas of what humor is.

There’s no secret to being funny except being yourself and being willing to share your outlook with the world. If all else fails, try wearing a fancy colonial wig.
